Helder Mira, Neighbor

Video producer Helder Mira, is the owner of Rabbit Ears Media, LLC. After graduating from Bard College with a degree in Liberal Arts, Majoring in Film, he returned to Hartford to pursue production work in a historic city that is underserved in media. In September 2000, he began producing video for the City of Hartford as videographer and editor at Hartford Public Access Television. The productions involved working with a diverse group of Hartford institutions and residents and produced over 1000 hours of cablecast programming. From the Department of Health and Human Services, the Hartford Public Library to non-profit and arts organizations – such as community groups in Hartford, Blue Hills Civic, HART, CRT, Charter Oak Cultural Center, HartBeat Ensemble, and Real Art Ways. His body of work includes two short narrative films set in Hartford, a documentary about the plight of a Roma community in Macedonia, and several short form videos.
