Kelly McGuire, Neighbor

Kelly "Bargain Betty" McGuire was born & raised in Danbury, CT —just a short ride on the dreaded route 7 away. She attended the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where she studied Journalism, English and Technical Writing. At UMass (or the Zoo, as it is affectionately - and appropriately - named), Kelly wrote a daily fashion column for her university's newspaper.  

She has had her work published in CosmoGIRL! Magazine (may it rest in peace), The Real Deal Magazine —NYC's leading real estate trade publication - as well as OurWeddingDay.com, CollegeCandy.com, First30Days.com and more. In addition to her love of the blank page, Kelly thoroughly enjoys the thrill of the hunt when it comes to saving the all mighty dollar on any purchase, and —not to toot her own horn—but she's pretty good at it.

She once found a pair of Dolce & Gabana shoes at a wholesale store for $5.00 - her claim to frugal fashion fame. When she's not scowering the racks for the best deals, she is spending time with her boyfriend, their two babies (and by babies, she means the most adorable brother cats ever), friends and family. In addition to shopping (and writing about it!), she enjoys movies, exercising, wine nights with her girlfriends and travelling to anywhere and everywhere she can with the man she loves.
