Laurie Cantillo is a regular columnist for Patch. A New Canaan resident since January 2009, Laurie is the co-author of the Simon & Schuster best-seller Right-Brained Children in a Left-Brained World, published in 1997 (as Laurie Parsons) and now in its second printing. Laurie writes a regular blog for Imus in the Morning on 77 WABC.
A graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder, Laurie has won numerous awards for broadcast reporting and took her radio station in Phoenix to its first-ever Edward R. Murrow Award. Her career has taken her to radio stations in Madison, Denver, Phoenix, New York, and with Sirius/XM satellite radio in Chicago.
She has worked with and interviewed such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey, Sean Hannity, Dr. Maya Angelou, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Diane Sawyer, and Gary Zukav. Laurie has also written on parenting and family issues for The Denver Post and Denver's 5280 Magazine.
