I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have held the position of Youth Services Director for the Town of New Canaan since 2005. 
The mission of Youth Services is to help New Canaan youth and families to function optimally by developing programs and activities that address developmental needs, as well as helping youth and families obtain appropriate social services and resources. We operate out of the Vine Cottage building next door to Town Hall and offer any New Canaan family a free and confidential resource to help them obtain the resources they need. I have expertise working with both children and parents around many issues including risky behavior, internet safety, trauma and abuse, motivation, police intervention, domestic abuse, mental illness and substance abuse, and more.  I also coordinate the New Canaan Youth Adult Partnership Board which is an award winning service group, receiving the top youth group award from the Volunteer Center of Southwestern Fairfield County in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
