New Canaan Patch is covering and taking part in today's emergency response training at Saxe Middle School with about 100 police officers, firefighters, EMS, FBI agents, town and school officials and community volunteers.
The people in the above photo are playing victims in an "active shooter scenario" that tests how police respond to a scene where victims are discovered upon arrival.
Officials are testing response procedures and advanced technology to see what works best in these types of situations. Check back later today for video coverage of the event.
