Second Man Charged For Role in Seven New Canaan Burglaries in 2010

Police say Mark Missino and his alleged accomplice may have been involved in as many as 90 burglaries across the state.

New Canaan police say they have charged a second suspect in a series of seven New Canaan burglaries committed between January and September 2010. Mark Missino, 44, of Shore Road, Waterford, CT, was served a warrant at Norwalk Superior Court on June 30, where he was appearing on other charges. New Canaan police charged Missino with seven counts of burglary and seven counts of larceny for his alleged role in the burglaries.

Missino’s alleged accomplice, Bernard McAllister, 40, of Lisbon, CT was or his part in the New Canaan sprees. The two men were arrested in November 2010 by East Lyme police after a search of . Police said the two men, both professional poker players, may have been involved in as many as 90 burglaries across the state.

New Canaan police charged Missino with three counts of second degree burglary, four counts of third degree burglary, four counts of first degree larceny, one count of second degree larceny and two counts of third degree larceny for his alleged role in two New Canaan sprees that took place between January 15 and 18, and September 18-19 last year.

The residences involved are located on Woodridge Circle, Chichester Road, Bridle Path Lane, Wahackme Road, Ramhorne Road, Smith Ridge Road and Stonehenge Road. Police said the pair was also involved in similar burglaries in nearby towns including Greenwich and Stamford. 

Missino is currently being held at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution on a $350,000 bond.
