Mustaches, Art Fests, Summer Days and a Family Luau

Hey New Canaan, your weather outlook for the weekend hits the low to mid-80s all weekend, with partly-cloudy or mostly-sunny skies everyday except Friday, with thunderstorms—some severe—predicted for the morning and becoming more widespread in the afternoon.

Don't forget that at Kiwanis Park Friday evening, the New Canaan YMCA is hosting a Family Luau. Be there or be square.

You don't need to already have a mustache to participate in the New Canaan Library's Mustache Photobomb Contest going on Saturday. You can get creative and make one if you want! the event runs all day. All you need is to have a mustache, sneak into a photo and post the results on the NCL facebook page

The third-annual Silvermine ArtsFest is in full swing by Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. There are a number of really great cultural experiences to be had, so if you're free, check it out.

Over in Stamford, the Avon Theater plays host to the Yerwood Center's Junior Leaders student-made film, When We Were Young: Childhood Summers. The film includes Stamford icons talking about the summers of their formative years.
